The Ice Cream Factory | Review

Waffles & Ice Cream

Hey Guys!!!

What’s your plan for the long weekend?

I am going on a tour to Omu Resort on Monday courtesy of the Social Prefect. See it out here.

I had written a post on a different restaurant but I mistakenly deleted the pictures so I had to write on something else then I remembered I had this post sitting in my draft.

So I won a free invite to EDL’s ICF Dessert Party in February and I total enjoyed myself. This was my first time ever at The Ice Cream Factory, I stay in Lekki and I pass it everyday on my way to work but never went in.

Apple Crumble

It had cinnamon in it which I totally loved but it felt like I was taking granola with apple and ice cream.

Cookie Monster/Caramel Crunch/Strawberry Sunrise

So I had the cookie monster, it looked very good and delicious but was a bit salty other than that it was nice.

The Classic Waffles/Butter Pecan Waffles

You are probably wondering what’s the difference. So the one to the left is Waffles with Butter Pecan Ice Cream while the one to the left is Waffles with normal ice cream. I loved the waffles and this is probably the best I have tasted in Lagos, although it was a bit sugary. In Abuja, the best waffles are from The Quarter Cafe (check them on IG @qcafeabuja).

New York Cheesecake/Red Velvet Cheesecake/Tiramisu

This is the best New York Cheesecake I have tasted in Nigeria. It tasted heavenly, I totally loved it. That feeling when the cheesecake melts in your mouth. Sigh

The Red Velvet Cheesecake was equally nice, the cheesecake was moist and awesome. I didn’t hit all the notes like the New York Cheesecake.

This was my first trying the Tiramisu so I don’t really have anything to base it on. It was good.

Strawberry Crepes

I loved the presentation of the crepes but thinking about it, I think a flat plate would have worked well for it. Regardless, I enjoyed it.

At this point, I had gained back all the calories I lost during the Truppr 5k run on Lekki-Ikoyi bridge that morning.

Chocolate Haven

Although I didn’t try the Chocolate Haven, I think that chocolate cake deserves an award. It looks yummy and I bet it tastes very good.

What’s your favorite dessert at The Ice Cream Factory? Mine was the New York Cheesecake which I shall be having again over the weekend.

  2. […] It has been a while since my last post here. […]

  3. I love this gallery! I didn’t know Ice Cream factory served proper deserts. I though it was just ice cream and brownies. Would be going there to try some of these.
